A large, global storage equipment and services provider faced challenges with duplicate and redundant IT applications and data, leading to inefficient resource utilization and increased costs.
Launched an initiative to identify and catalog duplicate applications, databases, and support costs across various departments. Collaborated with respective business owners to prioritize and plan the elimination of redundant applications and data, streamlining resource utilization. The recommendations included candidate applications with overlapping functional features compared to enterprise platforms, as well as data anomalies such as redundant, duplicate data, and quality gaps. The recommendations identified potential cost savings from functional and data synergies across the enterprise.
